Volunteers bring the hours. The community brings the tools.

Franklin Search and Rescue Team is a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 85-4116966). Contributions that qualify under IRS rules are tax-deductible.

What donations buy

  • Helmets, lighting, marking tape, and pack essentials
  • Radios, spare batteries, and mapping tools
  • Training seats (NASAR / ASARA / first aid)
  • Fuel and expendables on long searches
  • Shelter, signage, and public education materials

How to give

This template site does not process payments. For a live deployment, connect a processor (Givebutter, PayPal Giving Fund, or the team’s bank) and replace this section.

Until then:

  • Coordinate in-kind gear through a board member so we don’t duplicate equipment
  • Local businesses: sponsorships can underwrite a training weekend or a cache of headlamps

A sponsors page on the legacy Weebly site existed for a reason — rural SAR runs on feed stores, shops, and neighbors. If you sponsor the team, we can list your name here with a link.

Important: Donations do not buy a private rescue. Activation still goes through 911 and the Sheriff’s Office.
